I am a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach living in Southwest London with my amazing husband and two gorgeous kids. I love meeting and connecting people. When not pursuing my passion for holistic wellness, you might find me salsa dancing, practising yin yoga, foam rolling, rebounding, earthing or even sipping Colombian coffee (decaf and in moderation!).
I believe that we have the power to own our health and I want to share with you how to reclaim yours.
Despite over a decade of clean, organic eating and an obsessive interest in nutrition, I was still unwell. I was always tired, my body ached constantly, my skin was inflamed and broke out and I was over-prone to catching every cold or winter bug. Doctors would tell me I was “absolutely fine” (clinically), so I thought it was normal to always feel stressed and tired - as a busy mom to two little ones this was entirely normal, right?
Wrong! It was only after I learned to look at my health holistically that I discovered I had a form of adrenal dysfunction. My body was in a state of chronic stress that was prioritising survival over self-healing and regeneration.
I learned that the answers came from within, through a holistic approach to nutrition, mindset and lifestyle. It wasn't anything that could be simply solved by taking a pill.
Over a period of 12 months, I took small but meaningful, daily, nourishing actions to bring my body back into a parasympathetic state, promoting my body's own healing processes and soon I could feel and see tangible changes in my well-being.
It was only by trusting myself and by not giving away my power to external sources that I was able to truly begin my wellness journey.
Our days are filled with endless choices: what to do, what to eat, how to move, how to rest, what to think, who to be with. Every single choice you make has a significant impact on your well-being and health. This then spreads to your family, friends and community - something I have experienced first-hand since learning to look after myself. Prioritising our health is now more important than ever. When we take ownership of our health, we make an impact in the well-being of others and this makes me excited for a collective future that is more vital, abundant and whole at a time when we so desperately need hope.
I believe that looking after ourselves is the future of healthcare and am committed to helping others find their path to optimal health no matter where they are on their journey.
